Description
This course awards 1 CE Hours.
Becoming trauma informed to meet the needs of clients is a goal for most organizations, however do we apply the same trauma informed principles to meet the needs of our staff? Do our HR policies reflect ethical standards for termination and selfcare? Trauma informed supervision acknowledges both primary and secondary trauma that care providers experience. This presentation will explore applying trauma informed care principles and tenets to create a safe environment for staff that requires rethinking standard HR practices, assessing staff’s trauma experiences, self-care practices, and an organization’s role in service provision through integrated supervision. Attendees will learn tools for understanding their organizations current supervision needs and develop actionable plans for enhancing their organizations health and wellness through trauma informed care frameworks.
